The Feast of The Hunters Moon in West Lafayette, IN was spectacular. My son wanted to go so he could get extra credit in Social Studies but it ended up being a trip the entire family enjoyed. The true to the era clothing and activities were superb. The aroma made you feel like you were back in time.
Next year the Feast will be earlier in the fall, end of September. Extra Credit or not - we will be returning for another adventure. You should be sure to check it out.

America's Healthcare Crisis

I wrote this on another page - but want to make mention of it here.

As I see it we have a problem. Our system of healthcare is sick, but we cannot
afford the costs of fixing it. So I have a novel idea of how to fix it, so
nobody loses. The United States Government BUYS the Health Insurance Companies.
Yes, a lock, stock and barrel purchase of the companies. It shouldn’t cost us
any more than the estimated $1.4 TRILLION we will spend on Iraq, or at least not
much more - and look at all the great property we get - most Health Insurance
Companies have pretty nice digs. Sure we would have to go in debt to pay it, but
what’s a few trillion more among friends. And all that money will just seep back
into the economy as the stockholders reinvest it.

Sedona, AZ is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I can hardly believe that I took this picture myself. It has been cropped and set at 1680x1050 for my new monitor. Posted by Picasa

Gabe was very excited to visit Chase Field in Phoenix and watch the Diamondbacks get beat by the Yankees. I made this picture the background on Gabe's computer. Posted by Picasa
